Ingredients:
- 2 slices of whole wheat or gluten free bread ( toasted)
- 2 slices of vegan pepper jack cheese or regular cheese if vegetarian
- 1 romaine lettuce leaf
- 1-2tsp of Dijon mustard or horseradish mustard
- 1 slice of beefsteak tomato
- 1/2 avocado sliced
- sprinkle of oregano
- pinch of salt
- pinch of pepper
Directions:
- Lightly toast 2 slices of bread*
- Spread mustard on each side of the bread and top with cheese slices
- Add the avocado slices, a few on each side of the bread*
- Add cheese slices
- Add the tomato slice
- sprinkle with oregano, salt, and pepper
- Cut romaine lettuce leaf in half and lay on top.
- Cut in half and ENJOY!
Tips/Tricks:
If you have a toaster oven feel free to toast the cheese on top of the bread before toasting! If you are a meat eater feel free to add any slice of meat of choice. We prefer deli meats are made off 100% meat with no fillers or by products. We avoid products that use nitrates as preservatives. Brands we prefer meat eaters to buy include: Boar's Head, Stop & Shop Nature's Promise, Applegate Farms, Wilshire and Fresh Farms.
