IMMUNITY SHOTS

Make this spicy lemon immunity shot at the beginning of the week! Store in a container and enjoy a shot each morning before you start the day. You can even freeze these in ice cube trays and add them to your smoothies!

Ingredients:


  • 350- 400 grams of ginger root 
  • 5-6 lemons to yield about 350 ml juice
  • 1/4c honey or 3 TBS
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper


Important ratio instructions:


  • 8 to 10 oz or 230g to 280 g of ginger will yield about 1⁄2 to 3⁄4 c  or 120 to 180 mL of juice, depending on the method you use
  • 1 lemon yields about 1/4 c or 59mL; the goal is to have an even ratio of lemons to ginger


Directions:


  1. Using a juicer ( click for the one we use) add cut lemons
  2. After processing all the lemons add the ginger
  3. Once complete stir in honey and cayenne!


Notes: We love using our kitchen aid attachment for this recipe. Store your juice in ice cube trays and add them into the freezer as an additive to your morning smoothie/protein shake! Ben and Stevie have a shot each morning before they start their day! We hope you enjoy this added immune booster as much as we do!
